National Drawing Day 2012

Butler Gallery, Kilkenny Castle and Park
This year’s National Drawing Day will have workshops specifically designed with a variety of age groups in mind so come along, bring your friends and family and enjoy this celebration of drawing, mark-making and creativity!
Investigate the Textures of the Castle Park, experience Shadow Drawing, Texture and Felt, visit our Wishing Tree and create “Stained Glass” mobiles. Look out for our Willow Tunnel Wonders and the Drawing Garden as well as Action Sun, Spirograph Drawing on the Rise and the chance to Explore Negative Space.

Silhouette
12pm to 4pm
As part of Bealtaine at the Butler Gallery, celebrating creativity as we age.
We invite children and their grandparents, grandaunts, granduncles and grandfriends to drop in to the Parade Tower to join in this fun, interactive workshop exploring silhouettes and story-telling. Suitable for children and grandparents/grandfriends of all ages! This event is free of charge and it is not necessary to book a place.
