We offer our visitors excellent contemporary exhibitions, which reflect the constantly changing nature of visual art practice and the range of media used in the making of contemporary work.  The Butler Gallery has continually sought to be a platform for presenting the best of Irish art today, along with demonstrating a strong commitment to presenting work by artists of international repute.  With that philosophy as our backbone, we plan to continue to stimulate, inspire and challenge our audience.

The Butler Gallery is committed to the opportunity that our ‘Open Submission’ call out provides for working artists.  We are one of the few gallery spaces offering one-person exhibitions to emerging artists. Open submission programming has proven to be very successful in representing the pulse of what is current in the visual arts countrywide.
